The AV Engineering team designs, installs, and maintains advanced audio-visual systems across Tuck’s classrooms, auditoriums, meeting rooms, and common spaces. Led by experienced AV engineers, the team ensures technology solutions are innovative, reliable, and user-friendly, closely aligned with Tuck’s educational and operational goals. Through strategic planning and ongoing collaboration, AV Engineering supports exceptional teaching, learning, and communication experiences for the entire Tuck community.

Matt earned a degree in audio engineering from Full Sail University in 2002. After graduation, Matt gained extensive experience in the audio industry, working on local studio and live sound projects, as well as audio installations. In 2008, Matt joined one of New England’s largest AV vendors as a Lead Systems Installer, a role Matt held until 2015.

Since joining Tuck in 2015 as AV Services Manager, Matt has focused on creating consistent, reliable AV systems and delivering exceptional service, transforming classrooms into flexible, technology-enabled learning environments. Collaborating closely with the AV team, Matt emphasizes attention to detail and strives to stay ahead of emerging technological trends to meet the evolving needs of the Tuck community.

AV Engineer I

Erick began his career as an automotive technician, a role he excelled in for nearly 20 years. Seeking new challenges, he pursued higher education and earned a degree in computer systems management from the Community College of Vermont.

Erick joined Tuck in mid-2019 as an intern at the Help Desk, completing his capstone college course. His dedication and expertise led to a full-time position as a User Support Analyst in March 2020. Later that year, he transitioned to the Audio-Visual department, assuming the role of AV Classroom Support Technician. In 2024, Erick's contributions and technical acumen earned him a promotion to AV Engineer.
